Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D are getting the band back together. Thanks to co-creator artist Jamie Hewlett, we now know that beloved animated band Gorillaz will return in some form or another.
It’s been many years since Damon Albarn (the musical side to the Gorillaz) stated that the band was probably finished. But just this week, Tank Girl artist Hewlett posted these new images (below) of bassist Murdoc and guitarist Noodle on his Instagram. Naturally, everyone freaked out, but of course, an artist posting images of his art does not necessarily mean the Gorillaz are back. However, buried in the comments (spotted byRevolt), Hewlett replied to a question comment asking if the band was back and said, “Yes. Gorillaz Returns.” Wonderful.
