You’ve seen photos of a groom kissing a bride a million times. It’s always beautiful, but this double exposed image taken by two different photographers captures the weight of that moment better than any other. Finding love is random—and refreshing like splashing into a pool.

People Vs. Places is a project of photographers Stephanie Bassos and Timothy Burkhart. Bassos loads up a camera with 35mm film and shoots people in different situations. Burkhart then reloads the roll and shoots a bunch of different settings. The results aren’t always perfect but every now and then, the two picture frames line up into an elegant composition. Two people who find themselves in the right place at the right time doesn’t happen every time. Luckily, it only needs to happen once for it all to be worthwhile. [People Vs. Places via CoDesign]
