Black Friday sure doesn’t mean what it used to—what with major retailers like Amazon running a “Countdown to Black Friday Week” all month and Newegg doing a promotion it calls Black November. However, deal hunters know that there’s still one day every year when there’s a chance you score an absolute steal. This year, Black Friday falls on November 23.

Now’s a good time to remind you guys that Gizmodo and Dealzmodo produce epic Black Friday and Cyber Monday guides that are the only resource you need to score great gifts for loved ones (or yourself) at significant discounts. Take a look at last year’s amazingly complete cheat sheet. Yep, we’re doing it again.

Putting together the ultimate cheat sheet isn’t an easy process; it requires a ton of work. For instance, we’ve been keeping track of the circular leaks that inevitably come in the month before the “doorbusting” sales. Like the preview that Best Buy released today. Here are some Black Friday highlights that we’ve seen so far:

https://kotaku.com/best-buy-s-black-friday-deals-include-a-200-250-gb-xbo-5958477

• A freakin’ 40″ 1080p Toshiba HDTV for $180 at Best Buy.

• Asus Transformer Pad (TF300) for $280 at Best Buy.

• Galaxy S3 for $1 with contract at Sam’s Club.

• A 250GB Playstation 3 for $220 (includes two games) at Radio Shack.

• The Nook Simple Touch—a great simple eReader—for $40 at Sears.

And, as mentioned earlier, we’re seeing pretty great deals from online outlets all month long, so keep checking up on Dealzmodo—especially on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Today, this mechanical keyboard, a Roku 2 XD, and a preorder for Hitman: Absolution are all steals.
