We’re not sure we buy it, but Sony is claiming that it’s new MICROMV Handycam DCR-IP1 is the world’s smallest camcorder. There’s no doubt that the DCR-IP1 is small – it’s about the size of a playing card, at least in terms of its height and width – but declaring it the world’s smallest might be more a matter of how you define a camcorder than anything else. Either way, the DR-IP1 has a 10x optical zoom lens, takes one megapixel still images, can double as USB web cam via its docking station, and has a slot for Memory Stick DUO cards.
