If you were expecting to get a good look at the titular creature of Disney’s remake of the classic movie Pete’s Dragon, well… you’re not getting it in this first teaser trailer. You are going to get some Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford though.
What this trailer does focus on instead, is young Pete (Oakes Fegley), the young boy who’s spent six years wandering around a forest with his draconic pal, before making his way to modern civilization. Presumably, from there, shenanigans with Elliot the Dragon will ensue, but you’ll have to wait for a longer trailer to see some of those. Check it out below.
Pete’s Dragon hits theaters August 12th.
