The Cannes Lions are the Oscars of the advertising industry. Agencies from around the world gathered last week on the French coast to show their work and select the best ads of the year. These are some of the winners in the film category and you can see the rest here.
I was waiting the entire time on the 'I spent it on myself' ad to eventually end with a message about how we need to think of others (particularly the elderly and children who may not have the finances to get themselves anything if no one else does) before we think of ourselves before the holidays BUT THEN THE FUCKING ENDING? ITS JUST PROMOTING IT?
WHAT THE FUCK
WHAT AM I MISSING HERE, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.
Then I went to the Harvey Nichols site and realized that its entirely tailored towards self absorbed assholes so, I guess they did the world a favor by helping them be easier to spot by the brand they wear?
Idk..still..what the fuck is wrong with that advertisement
