The previous trailers for HBO’s Westworld have been more eerie than actually scary, but not this one. It’s terrifying. (Also, it’s probably NSFW.)
It starts idyllic, with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) waking up and going about her day. Then she sees her reflection and… is being interviewed, naked, by Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins). His interviews with the androids have been the backbone of a couple of these, but then there are stabbings, shootings, and a kid combing a woman’s hair that turns into a scalping. That last one really screwed me up.
This show finally premieres on HBO on October 2. Less than a month to go.
