If you were worried that a new live-action reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wouldn’t be sassy as fuck, you were wrong. The new TMNT trailer is loaded with turtle quips. And also, dare I say this is a little self aware? We love the alien dig because yes THAT IS STUPID. Then EDM happens.
Honestly, this is really cute. This is the kind of stupid gags we want from our hideous live -ction turtle mutant creatures. The electronic dance music, on the other hand, is intense, and maybe I’m just old and the music is too loud, but TURN DOWN THE MUSIC TURTLES. But overall, it’s cute.
Also, hello, who was William Fichtner talking to when he was saying we’re going to “upgrade your armor”? Is that just some foot soldier or Shredder? Does this mean he’s not Shredder? I am confused. Or maybe that’s just like a really big Foot Soldier. I don’t know. Guess we’ll find out when it premieres on August 8th.
