Wouldn’t you rather be in this pool, right now, until your whole body transforms into a shriveled raisin? It’s not your winter-weary eyes playing tricks on you, it’s a succulent plant-covered leisure center in Amsterdam.
The center is located in the middle of a park, so the architects—VenhoevenCS—built it to blend right in with its surroundings. Squint hard enough, and you might mistake the greenery-draped structure for a lush hill. There’s both an outdoor and indoor pool, the former of which looks like an aquatic Shangri-La, and the latter, a Scandinavian-style YMCA. Maybe if we close our eyes and click our heels together enough times it’ll be July and we’ll all magically be there playing the Dutch version of Marco Polo. [Dezeen]
