A couple of new MP3 players from Creative. The Nomad MuVo2 uses the same tiny 1-inch, 1.5GB hard drive from Cornice that has also turned up in the Rio Nitrus and the HDD060 from Philips, and has USB 2.0 for file transfer. It’s set to retail for $70 less than the Nitrus ($229 vs. $299), but also weighs considerably more than Rio’s player (3.2 ounces vs. 2 ounces).
The other player, the MuVo2 X-Trainer (pictured at right), is aimed at the athletic market, has 512MB of Flash memory rather than an internal hard drive and also uses USB 2.0 for file transfer. 512MB isn’t a whole lot of space these days, and it costs $40 more than the other MuVo2 which has three times the capacity. Since it uses Flash memory, the X-Trainer won’t skip, somethingwhich might be worth the extra cash to some people.
