Use This Website to Make Obama Say Anything You Want

Have you ever wondered how those clever YouTubers get Obama to sing and rap entire songs? They usually spend countless hours carefully splicing together individual words taken from footage of the president, but you can now do the same thing in just seconds with a new website called Talk Obama To Me.

Using the app is as easy as typing in a phrase for the President to say, and hitting the ‘Talk!’ button. A few seconds later an auto-generated video appears, spliced from countless clips, with Obama repeating whatever you typed. Developed by Ed King, a Stanford Linguistics PhD candidate, the web app seems to error out on certain words—we couldn’t make him threaten to kill anyone. And if an acceptable word you’ve entered isn’t available in its library, Talk Obama To Me will attempt to splice it together from individual syllables, with varying degrees of believability.

That’s awesome.

Seeing this and thinking about November and observing that Hillary Clinton is likely to win (and in truth is probably the most rational choice of the 4 likely possibilities), is making me sad he’s going to go.

Many people may dislike him, but I think that, regardless of who is elected, after we hear them give a few public speeches, and after they have to respond to the first awful shooting or terrorist attack, those of us who aren’t blinded by partisan politics will realize just how much more Presidential he is than any of them. For that matter, you really have to go back to JFK to find a President who could address the nation with the same aura & presence that Obama has.
