At Seattle’s Sci Fi Museum, a Battlestar Galactica exhibit opens this weekend – including life-sized ship props. In this video, curators explain how they cut a new hole in the museum walls to squeeze the ships into the gallery.

The EMP|SFM writes to tell us what’s in store this weekend at the Sci Fi Museum:

We announced the stars who will be attending the Opening weekend festivities THIS WEEKEND (Oct 22-24) —Edward James Olmos (Admiral William Adama), Michael Hogan (Colonel Saul Tigh), Tahmoh Penikett (Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon), Richard Hatch (Tom Zarek, 2004, and Apollo, 1978), Kate Vernon (Ellen Tigh) and executive producers Ronald D. Moore (BSG, Caprica), and Glen Larson— There’s a VIP Reception and Red Carpet on Oct 22 followed by a host of activities on October 23 (including panel discussions with the creators and casts from both series, which is bound to sell out).

If you’re in the Seattle area, this sounds like a perfect nerd date event.
