Watch As Photographer Captures Accidental Art of LA's Graffiti

Street photography is tasked with capturing the fleeting beauty of the city. Photographer Mick Victor looks closer and finds vibrant abstraction in the graffiti strewn walls of Los Angeles.

In a video produced by Snow Globe Studios and posted by The Atlantic, Victor explains how he searches for these accidental compositions of not only graffiti, but the cover-up paint meant to hide it. This concept has been explored before, with Matt McCormick's tongue-in-cheek documentary, The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal, coming to mind.

Victor takes a more aestheticized and serious approach in getting close-up to walls, poles, and streets to take photos of the colorful surfaces. It's well-trodden territory, but a good lesson in looking in unexpected areas for photographic subjects. [Atlantic Cities]
