It’s flammable, and it might make you see something that looks like this by the end of the night.

It’s tequila, seen at over 1000x magnification. Florida State University research scientist Michael Davidson has made a project out of creating micrographs of booze at intense magnification levels, which produce images that look like they’re out of a bad acid trip. To make a micrograph, a drink is crystallized on a lab slide, and then a polarized light is passed through the crystal. Instant kaleidoscope. And no two drinks look alike.
