Kimi Antonelli clinched the title in Mexico City, yet the São Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos still has a lot to settle on Sunday. Four drivers are within 16 points of second place, and Mercedes can wrap up the constructors’ championship.
You can watch all of it without paying: several European broadcasters show the race free, including Belgium’s RTBF Auvio, which only needs a free account. In the US, Apple TV gives viewers every practice session at no cost.
Each of those free streams is geo-blocked outside its home country, so watching from elsewhere requires a VPN server in the right place. NordVPN has servers in all of them, and its 30-day money-back guarantee covers a single race weekend if you decide to cancel.

How to Watch the Brazilian GP Free From Anywhere
RTBF Auvio is the quickest of the free streams to set up. Its commentary is in French, but the graphics come from F1’s world feed, so positions and lap times appear in English.
- Subscribe to NordVPN and install the app on your computer, phone, or Fire TV Stick.
- Connect to a server in Belgium.
- Create a free RTBF Auvio account with an email address. If the form asks for a Belgian postcode, you can find one online.
- Go to the Formule 1 page and choose the live session.

Auvio also keeps replays of qualifying and the race, in case the race clashes with your Sunday plans. For German commentary, connect to Austria instead and open ServusTV’s free stream.
If either service shows a region error after you connect, close it, check that NordVPN lists the right country, and reopen it.
Watching the Brazilian GP in the US
Apple TV holds the US rights to F1 this season, so no network channel airs the race. All three practice sessions are free in the Apple TV app with an Apple Account, on most smart TVs, streaming sticks and phones, or in a browser at tv.apple.com.
Qualifying and the race require a subscription of about $15 a month. New subscribers get seven days free, so start the trial before qualifying on Saturday and cancel within the week if you don’t want to keep paying.
The subscription also includes F1 TV Premium, with onboard cameras and live timing. West Coast viewers face early starts this weekend, with the race at 9 a.m. PT and final practice at 6:30 a.m. PT on Saturday.
Americans traveling abroad will see a region error in the app, so connect NordVPN to a US server before opening it.
What’s Left to Race For at Interlagos
Antonelli finished third in Mexico City behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, enough to become F1’s youngest world champion at 20 and Italy’s first since Alberto Ascari in 1953. Behind him, second place is wide open:
- Max Verstappen: 261 points
- Lewis Hamilton: 259 points
- George Russell: 250 points
- Charles Leclerc: 245 points
The constructors’ title can be decided on Sunday. Mercedes leads Ferrari by 135 points, and the three races after Brazil are worth 129 points to a team. Ferrari has to outscore Mercedes by at least six points at Interlagos to take the fight to Las Vegas.
Interlagos rarely makes anything simple. The short, hilly lap keeps the field close, and afternoon rain often arrives without much warning. In 2024, Verstappen won there in the wet from 17th on the grid, and the home crowd will be behind Gabriel Bortoleto, the only Brazilian in the field, in his Audi.
