There’s something kind of awesome about a big book that you can sink your teeth into... but some books just overstay their welcome a bit. Sometimes, an author just needs an editor to come in and slash ‘n’ burn a bit. Which book would you have loved 100 percent if it was just 100 pages shorter?
Please include a book cover, piece of artwork, illustration, book trailer, or other visual representation of your chosen book. And please mention the title, the author, and why it could have stood to be a smidge shorter. Thanks!
Top image: The Passage by Justin Cronin. Cut a lot of the opening, and you’re good. Thanks to everyone on the io9 staff who suggested this one!
