Don’t look away from the mighty Giant Weta Bug! With a wing span of seven inches and the weight of three mice, this this New Zealand discovery is pure, unfiltered nightmare fuel.

Discovered by a retired park ranger Mark Moffett on New Zealand’s Little Barrier Island, the creature was spotted in a tree plotting which human ear it was readying to lay giant eggs in. After posing for pictures and feeding the beast a carrot, the wranglers set the creature back into the wild. Thus killing everyone’s holiday plans to New Zealand, for fear of death by Giant Weta bug.
