Would you buy a beautifully restored Blu-ray of Manos: The Hands of Fate?

Not only is Manos: The Hands of Fate widely considered one of the worst movies ever made, it's also in terrible shape. The only version of Manos that pretty much anybody has ever seen is an nth-generation VHS dub that suffered tons of damage — and that includes the version lampooned by Mystery Science Theater 3000.

But as luck would have it, cameraman Ben Solovey discovered a pristine work print of Manos: The Hands of Fate at the offices of its now-defunct distribution company Emerson Films. Solovey put up a Kickstarter Page to raise money for the "Manos in HD" project, and it's already gotten full funding — even though the deadline isn't until February. That doesn't mean you can't still donate and get yourself a commemorative Manos T-shirt, or even your own Blu-ray copy of the film when it's done. This is helping to safeguard our bad-movie heritage.
