These BenQ MusiQ Dog Tag MP3 players may be quite stylish, but wtf is up with their Chinese site? The splash page features some one gloved Michael Jackson guy standing in front of what looks like the WTC ruins. Yeah? Seemed like a good idea at the time?

BenQ must have taken a page from BlackBerry's Pearl Harbor ad campaign where the Japanese were depicted as dropping smartphones into the hands of screaming Cingular users.

I do agree that the WTC was intended as the background, since, while it is a photo shopped image, that is ABSOLUTELY the WTC... BUT

"As for the comment that it's 'not that important' to the rest of the world, well fuck you. Comparing the worlds worst terror attack to a natural disaster is just ignorant. And if you think that 9/11 was only intended for the US and not as a message to all non-muslims, then you need to get your head out of your ass also. That is, unless you're a muslim or a sympathizer yourself, in which case i'm sure theres a JDAM with your name on it somewhere."

That's what you say.

This is what I say. First off, while the attack was far different than a natural disaster, he was absolutely right when saying that it is not that important in light of other events. The earthquake in Pakistan, for example, killed over 70,000 people vs. 3000. It also resulted in HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of homeless refugees... this in the freezing mountains, right before winter, in an area inaccessible by most standard support vehicles. The fact is Mr. Awesomist, that our 'incident' is actually quite minor compared with what happens in the world today. You see, the trouble is that YOU are the ignorant one. You need to stop looking at the world through a straw and broaden your horizons a bit. For example, your little quote about how if he's a Muslim, he should die (which is basically what you were implying) proves this. You DO know that 99% of Muslims in the world today do not support the Taliban or any terrorist organizations... don't you? I mean, you DO realize that most Muslims are people like you and me (well, most aren't as dumb as you I'm sure...) and most of them would likely be more than happy to see the world's terrorists wiped out... don't you? You are simply prejudiced - you have been brainwashed by the American media into thinking that America is right and we are the center of the world. I'm sure you were the first to send money to the victims of Katrina, what with all the news coverage of the devastation. Yet, Pakistan was barely mentioned in any news over here - while the rest of the world saw both Katrina AND the grave destruction over seas. They needed money a lot more than our own country did - and I'm sure a lot less of that money "disappeared" than did the stuff going to Katrina. I don't know how old you are, but I'm only 17, and the idea that people like you (who are much more ignorant that a kid my age) even exist in our society is pretty terrifying. Though I guess it's to be expected - our country seems full of them these days... I'll assume while I'm at it (and I may very well be wrong, but I doubt it) that you are a Bush supporter... and that you probably HATE the French too... am I right?

Sucks being pwned by someone a lot younger than you in front of all of Gizmodo doesn't it?
