After opening the crisper drawer to find a foul mass of rancid green mold, it probably didn’t occur to you to make art out of it before discarding. Fortunately, you are not Austrian photographer Klaus Pichler, whose pictures of rotting food stuffs are ravishing and repugnant at the same time.
The project is intended to be a comment on global food waste. On Pichler’s website, each image is paired with a caption containing details about the origination and transportation of each item.
