The final version of Maleficent revealed that the classic villain had a full head of hair beneath her headdress. But early concept designs show a little girl Maleficent who was a bit more otherworldly—and covered in feathers.
Concept artist Luca Nemolato showed his take on the young fairy from early in the movie’s pre-production. Really, there could have been anything hiding beneath Maleficent’s robes, and this would have been a lovely take on her raven motif.
