Clutched in the hands of this Asian Orlando Bloom-a-like is Samsung's VLUU NV24HD, an 10-megapixel HD camera with 2.5-inch AMOLED display. As well as automatic smile detection and Red-Eye Fix, what else does the NV24HD have to offer?
24mm ultra optical wide 3.6x zoom lens
1280x720p supported at 30fps
Samsung's DRIM Engine II for image speed and clarity
HD-level stereo video recording
Full HD images via upgraded HDMI
Face Detection function for portrait shots
Automatic shooting function for smiling face recognition
Red-eye fix
No guidelines to price or availability so far, but hey, that's an Asian Orlando Bloom, so who cares? [AVING]

What's AMOLED instead of OLED?
I don't think that camera does the guy justice...
@TailsNZ: Wikipedia sez "AMOLED requires a TFT backplane to switch ON/OFF the pixel and can make higher resolution and larger size displays possible."
So I assume it's higher resolution screens at a smaller size, but it might just be technical jabber.
You telling me that now you need great hair to sell HD camera?
It's the moustache. The hair is good, but really shines in tandem with a dirty upper lip.
And to confirm the theories put forth yesterday: Samsung pwnd Moto because they used Asian Orlando Bloom with Fabulous Hair. Tell me, did you ever see a Moto wielded by such Fabulous Hair?
Wait... Is this the female payback for Lucy yesterday?
That's Jang Dong Geun Korean actor:
[en.wikipedia.org]
"Oh I wish I had a pencil thin mustache, so I could use a Samsung VLUU NV24HD too."
One thing is certain: chicks dig guys with broken necks.
@Computer_Chef: I just burst out laughing... my fellow cubi-drones are all popping their heads up like groundhogs.
Hold it. Is that Chen?
It's a mullet!
Damn, all I need is 1260 of these bad boys, get out my tools, connect them all together, and I will have my big screen OLED display I have dreamed of having. As long as these sell for no more than 50 cents a piece, and provided I can find a web site on how to seamlessly connect AMOLED displays, then this idea can't miss!
@J-Fu: correctly stated the Asian Mullet
www.mulletsgalore.com
I would buy any camera, portable piano, or wind chime made of pig crap if a guy with hair like that was selling it. Pure magic.
I am sorry, the guy looks like Larry the Lounge Lizzard to me.
@iatacs19: Isn't he the guy who played in Kung Fu Hustle?
whats' up with his lapels?
is he wearing two jackets?
Not sure why, but he looks more like an Asian Corey Feldman than an Asian Orlando Bloom.
Haha. At first I thought AMOLED was a play on "a mullet" but apparently that's what the technology is really called.
is that Brian Lam?
I don't think his hair is all that great
@upokyin: Perhaps AMOLED is a play on "Asian Mullet".
They're trying to sneak the mullet back into style, along with all the other awful 80s fads they're trying to slip back into the wardrobe. Watch out... you could catch a bad case of Mullet at any time...
They're trying to sneak back in the Mullet on us, hide it amongst all that other bad 80s fashion the "people in charge of making things" are making. Watch out... you may catch a bad case of Mullet at any time...
Damn you, posting lag!!
Does he smell bad like Orlando Bloom, also?
I'd totally go gay for him. Or not.
@Dook_In_The_Urinal: For you. Enjoy :D
Bet a ton of folks here on the Giz will go see him in Laundry Warrior (2008), where he'll probably look more like this or this. Hopefully not chanelling so much of his inner '70's pimp.
@General Tsao aka Ivan the Impaler, no he is not in kung-fu hustle... he is in tae-guk-gi though... a movie about the korean war.
