When you watch a water droplet make impact on water in super slow motion, the result is more like a trampoline than a reservoir. And it’s positively mesmerizing.
The bouncing—which scientists call the coalescence cascade, because that sounds fancier than “bouncing”—happens too quickly to be noticed by the human eye.
