Though they deliver clean energy, wind turbines are not exactly pretty. They’re tall, grey and sterile. They also interrupt a beautiful outside view.
One exception may be the wind generator in Hanover, Germany which is decked out from top to bottom in lights. This colorful structure was the handiwork of French artist Patrick Raynaud and is used to show people that wind power is beautiful. [New Scientist]
