AT&T’s LTE glow has spread to 11 new locales, including NYC, SF, and LA. From where I’m sitting in frigid Brooklyn, Big Blue is delivering some serious mobile bandwidth.

After running nine tests on the HTC Vivid via Speedtest.net, my average downstream speed was 3 megabytes per second. That’s faster than my home cable connection. The average upload speed was 1.5 megabytes per second, which is also pretty stellar. Latency averaged out with a ping of 50, which is more than decent. Overall very fast, and beating out my experience in DC last November.

By comparison, my AT&T iPhone 4 put up speeds of 0.3 MB/sec down, 0.11 MB/sec up, and a ping of 110.

If you’ve got an AT&T LTE phone in one of the new zones (New York City metro area, Austin, Chapel Hill, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose), let us know what your speeds are looking like below. [AT&T]
