I still consider Goldeneye to be the most fun I’ve ever had with a controller in my hand. But I have to admit, as this ‘in real life’ mod illustrates, the single player game was incredibly frustrating at times.
And it had nothing to do with difficult enemy AI, or intricate puzzles. Instead, it was the stupidity of the game’s characters, particularly those like Natalya who you had to escort through a level without getting killed. Which, more often than not, happened by your own hand. Or your own PP7, to be more precise. Also, bravo to those who put this video together, you really nailed it. [YouTube via GoNintendo]
