From the mouth of comedian Jim Gaffigan, everything about raising with four kids in a two-bedroom NYC apartment is hilarious. You could call his brand of humor dad humor—but it's the good kind.
Gaffigan's description of family life is something everyone can relate to. He opens his 2012 comedy special Mr. Universe by talking about how he and his wife just had their fourth child (they actually have five now). You want to know what it's like having a fourth kid? Imagine you're drowning and someone hands you a baby. He continues by making hysterical observations about what it's like being a parent, from trips to Disney World to the nightmare that is bed time.
It's also the kind of thing that a lot of different people will find funny. In fact, I recently watched this special with my parents, who are in their 60s, and my brother, who is just north of 30 and recently became a father. We were all dying. Especially for the fact that Gaffigan had us remembering with a big laugh how dads always get a little bit mad when they take their families on vacation. [Netflix]
