2 Minutes Of Footage From Robert Rodriguez's New Predators

Behold the "darkest" Predators yet, and their new canine best friends. Last night at SXSW, producer Rodriguez and the director Nimrod Antal showed the first ever footage of their new Predators film. Check out this video sneak peek.

Gotta hand it to Rodriguez for admitting that no one will ever be as bad ass as Arnold, so they went another direction, and did they ever. Look at these crazy Predator puppies. I smell a pound Predator merchandising tie-in on the horizon.

Am I the only person that thinks that the more Predators there are, the less bad-ass they seem? Come on, would Star Wars would had been better with 5 Darth Vaders instead of a single one?

The original movie presented a single creature, so powerful it could overtake an army by itself, and by hunting each character down, reduced the possibilities of success more and more, leaving Arnold at the edge of desperation for survival. That was what made the movie cool, the one-on-one struggle of two warriors of two worlds outsmarting the other for their own lives...
