Minecraft for iPhone Briefly Appears, Then Disappears from iTunes

Just when you thought it was safe to come out of your cave, a new app puts the Java hit Minecraft on your iPad or iPhone. How did the developer do it?

According to the description on Appshopper.com, it’s a “no-hax client…built without code or content from the original.” That certainly implies to me that Minecrafted the iOS app is actually just a knock-off of Minecraft.

Unfortunately, the app isn’t available in the U.S. App Store, so I can’t download it. I can’t tell if it’s been pulled or was never there in the first place, but it’s looking like the hopes of Minecraft on iOS will be waiting on a proper port from Notch, the developer. (Electric Pig posits the app’s been pulled, as well.)
