Angry Birds hasn't even turned one yet, but already its makers Rovio are planning a console version. While the iPad helped make it a family-friendly game rather than solitary hair-puller, slingshotting feathered friends on the Wii would be even better.

Rovio's CEO Peter Vesterbacka said that they're working on a version for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360, as well as Angry Birds 2 for smartphones—which makes me feel kind of anxious, if I'm honest, because I haven't got anywhere near conquering the first game. Without revealing too many details about the sequel, the CEO did say that "the pigs will be a lot more active than just being slingshotted at by birds." Gulp. [BBC]
