Sarah Richardson is a science historian at Harvard who studies how people understand the genetic science of sex difference. She’s here to answer your questions today about the development of genomics, ideas about sex difference, and the history behind the two.

She is the author of the book Sex Itself: The Search for Male and Female in the Human Genome where she looks at questions like whether there is there a sex-determining gene, what’s in store for the Y-chromosome, and the ways in which some of the early technology and discoveries about the genome shaped the ways we think about sex difference.

She’ll be joining us from 11 – 12 p.m. (PST). So start asking her your questions about the history of genomics and sex difference now!
