GoDaddy vs Hostinger: Hosting Plans & Pricing

Our first station of the Hostinger vs GoDaddy analysis is the price. Better said, we’ll analyze both of their subscription plans and review their prices.

GoDaddy

This hosting provider offers three types of hosting solutions;

  • Shared hosting, which starts at $4.99/mo for Web Hosting Starter
  • WordPress hosting, which starts at $8.99/mo for Managed WordPress Basic
  • VPS hosting, which starts at $8.99/mo for 1 vCPU/2GB RAM

GoDaddy is pretty generous, offering a hefty amount of plans, all characterized by flexible pricing. For example, the basic shared hosting offer called Web Hosting Starter starts at $4.99/mo for the annual plan. This plan, however, isn’t very generous.

Godaddy Price 1
Standard Web Hosting Prices © GoDaddy

You get only 1 website with 10 GB of NVMe storage and a free WordPress migration tool. GoDaddy includes a free web domain name for a year in the Web Hosting Economy plan at $6.99/mo. Of course, the free domain is in the other two plans as well, Web Hosting Deluxe at $9.99/mo and Web Hosting Ultimate at $14.99/mo.

You’ll notice that GoDaddy includes so-called high-performance plans. However, they’re very expensive, supporting from 50 to 200 websites, with prices from $21.99/mo to $74.99/mo.

GoDaddy includes managed WordPress hosting and this one begins at $8.99/mo.

Compared to Hostinger, GoDaddy’s roster isn’t particularly rich. Though, it’s worth noting that GoDaddy includes VPS hosting plans; 4 of them.

VPS hosting is more suitable if you need more dedicated resources, hence its higher starting price of $8.99/mo.

Like before, GoDaddy has standard and high-performance plans. In short, you can go from a single-core CPU to a 32-core one and from 2 GB to 128 GB of high-speed RAM.

To finalize, GoDaddy has a 30-day money-back guarantee, should you decide you’ll get a refund.

Hostinger

How does Hostinger compare to GoDaddy in terms of pricing? Hostinger is much more impressive, offering more flexible and varied plans, such as:

For one, you get shared hosting at a WAY lower price. Its Premium plan starts at a meager $2.99/mo and allows you to host 100 websites.

Remember; GoDaddy allows for hosting only ONE website at $4.99/mo.

Opting for Hostinger’s Business plan is a smart choice. This plan includes double the amount of storage (200 GB NVMe) and like all other plans, a free domain for a year. Yup, Hostinger is generous enough to include a free 1-year domain in any plan, at a LOWER price.

In our Hostinger analysis, we also praised its cloud and VPS hosting plans.

The provider offers managed WordPress hosting in all cloud and shared hosting plans, in addition to WooCommerce tools, allowing you to kickstart your business at only three quids or a bit more (four) if you select the Business plan, which offers more.

Hostinger Vps Plans
© Hostinger

We mentioned VPS hosting here. Well, Hostinger’s KVM 1 plan kicks off at $4.99/mo and offers 4 GB instead of 2 GB of RAM in GoDaddy’s starting VPS hosting plan.

Moreover, Hostinger offers 50 GB of NVMe storage while GoDaddy caps at 40 GB in the same offer.

GoDaddy lacks cloud hosting but Hostinger’s offer is immaculate. Starting at $9.99/mo, Hostinger lets you host up to 300 websites, with features like 3 GB of RAM, 2 CPU cores, dedicated IP, WooCommerce features, and much more.

Quite a banger, right?

Oh, and a 30-day money-back guarantee is there too for maximum flexibility.

Who Wins?

Hostinger is, overall, a much cheaper hosting provider than GoDaddy.

Not only that; it has more hosting solutions and provides more features and resources at competitive prices ($2.99/mo vs $4.99/mo). Perhaps an even larger advantage is a free domain for a year, no matter the plan.

GoDaddy “forces” you to avoid the lowest-tier plan to get a free web domain. This Hostinger win concludes the first round, making it a better choice from the get-go.

Hostinger vs GoDaddy Performance Comparison

Let’s see who performs better, GoDaddy or Hostinger.

Uptime Test

We’ll start with their promises of 99.9% uptime. After testing both for 3 months, we noticed no downtimes, which was interesting. However, this is pure coincidence because there’s no such thing as 100% uptime, which, in a way, is indicated by both providers.

In terms of their promised uptimes, we think both performed exquisitely.

Performance & Speed

Now, let’s discuss their GTmetrix tests. We’ll start with GoDaddy:

Godaddy Gtmetrix Test
© GTmetrix.com

Our freshly baked, just-published photography site was put to the test, As you can see, we received an A grade, with a performance score of 91%, which is great. Another parameter, LCP, which indicates how long it takes for the largest element on the page to load, is 435 ms.

We think that everything below 1 second is great.

Godaddy Gtmetrix Test 2

Looking at more detailed performance reports, we can see that our photography site made with GoDaddy functions well. However, FCP, which was 1.1 second (ideally under 1 second), was considered slightly higher by GTmetrix. Nothing alarming for us.

Hostinger Gtmetrix Test

A similar site made with Hostinger received a slightly better “treatment.” This time, the largest element on the page took 325 ms to load, which is 25% faster. The performance rate is, again, A but the percentage is 96% instead of 91% with GoDaddy’s site.

We can see plenty of improvements here. As you can see, the website made with Hostinger ended up being more responsive and more user-friendly. The speed index of 480 ms is superior to 1.1 seconds on GoDaddy’s side. The same goes for FCP from before.

It was 1.1 seconds but now it’s 294 ms, which is a lot more responsive.

Who Wins?

Hostinger takes the win over GoDaddy in this round. While both providers adhere to their 99.9% uptime promises and provide ample performance, Hostinger edges out GoDaddy and proves to be faster. That can also be attributed to its larger server database.

Hostinger governs 9 server locations, while GoDaddy has only 3. The latter has servers only in the Netherlands, the USA, and Singapore. On the flip side, Hostinger’s servers span France, the UK, the USA, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Brazil, Lithuania, and the Netherlands.

Which Hosting Provider Is Easier to Use?

In a recent Hostinger vs Bluehost duel, we said we preferred Hostinger’s user experience because of Bluehost’s cPanel, which was a tad more complex.

But what about GoDaddy vs Hostinger? Let’s take a look.

Dashboard Comparison

As expected, Hostinger continues the trend of an incredible interface, which permeates the entire experience. Logging in to your account brings you to the dashboard. The left-hand side houses all the necessary tools, removing the clutter that would ruin things.

Once logged in, Hostinger lets you download and set up WordPress, activate your SSL certificate, and so on. With the initial setup out of the way, Hostinger’s dashboard allows you to swiftly navigate your account and stay in touch with various site-related aspects.

GoDaddy’s dashboard is equally intuitive. It’s easy to find the tools and features you want and access them with a single click. We love the ability to easily access its cPanel, where you’ll be able to install various plug-ins and manage your web applications.

Though, we can’t help but notice that GoDaddy’s dashboard looks a tad dated in comparison to Hostinger’s. On the flip side, it was worse before, but with recent updates, GoDaddy has become more intuitive and less cluttered.

Hostinger vs GoDaddy Control Panel Review

Managing your website is possible through the use of a control panel. Here, you can review your emails, security, performance, files, and so on.

Now, Hostinger uses hPanel, which is based on cPanel but with a more streamlined and intuitive approach.

Hostinger Hpanel Dashboard

Again, there’s the panel on the left that holds your tools and the rest of the screen is reserved for tool-related settings. GoDaddy uses cPanel, which, without the skin, looks a tad bland and old-school. It’s also less intuitive and perhaps overwhelming for beginners.

The addition of a search bar makes it easy to locate tools and files on your server. However, we can’t help but be more inclined towards Hostinger for making the interface modern, smooth, and far more handholding, which newcomers will appreciate.

WordPress Setup

If you need WordPress hosting, consider Hostinger as the primary pick. Creating a website with WordPress is extremely simple, as it’s done automatically without your interference.

GoDaddy requires you to manually set up WordPress, which isn’t complex but can be a hassle for some. On top of that, Hostinger includes smart WordPress updates, which keep your working environment up to date.

Who Wins?

Generally speaking, Hostinger is easier to use, with a simpler setup, and a modern-looking hPanel that beats the dated cPanel we’ve seen in GoDaddy.

No doubt, Hostinger wins this round over GoDaddy as well.

Features: GoDaddy vs Hostinger

As explained at the start of our Hostinger vs GoDaddy analysis, the features you’ll get depend on the subscription plan.

However, it’s obvious that Hostinger is more feature-rich, except for a few occasions where GoDaddy takes the lead.

Here’s a list of the most notable features of Hostinger:

  • Hosting of at least 100 websites, and up to 300 in more expensive plans
  • Managed WordPress hosting in all plans (with LiteSpeed Cache)
  • SSD or NVMe storage (up to 200 GB for shared hosting)
  • FREE domain name for a year in ALL plans, with WHOIS privacy protection
  • Hostinger AI website builder with 150 modern-looking templates
  • Daily and weekly backups in all plans
  • Various WooCommerce features
  • Malware scanner
  • DDoS protection
  • 99.9% uptime guarantee
  • Global servers in 9 locations

Hostinger includes many more features, such as MySQL database access, cache manager, DNS management, eCommerce features, and 0% transaction fees.

Moving on to GoDaddy, its plans include:

  • Hosting of at least 1 website, and up to 200 websites in High-Performance plans
  • NVMe storage
  • Free WordPress migration tool
  • Free SSL certificate for a year (unlimited in higher-tier plans)
  • Dedicated WordPress hosting plans
  • AI website builder
  • Automatic weekly and daily backups
  • Malware scan and removal
  • Airo Site Optimizer (an SEO-focused tool available in WordPress hosting plans)
  • Servers in 3 locations

In terms of basics, Hostinger covers the ground a bit better than GoDaddy.

GoDaddy, on the other hand, includes a lot of free integrations you can set up in no time. For example, you get a free year of Office 365 email, which Hostinger doesn’t provide.

A big advantage of Hostinger is a free web domain in ALL plans, rather than more expensive plans only.

Who Wins?

Hostinger snatches the win before GoDaddy’s eyes. While both have a stellar set of features, the purple team scores highly with its free 1-year domain, higher website hosting limit (300 compared to 200 in GoDaddy), and more global server locations.

GoDaddy vs Hostinger: Website Building Features

Once you’ve secured your place on the internet, it’s time to make the website and garnish it with your acquired taste. Using Hostinger, we were able to utilize its AI to help us get the best possible outcome based on our stern requirements. The experience was a joy.

Hostinger offers 150 ready-made templates, all brimming with options and tweaks to explore. The drag-and-drop editor lets you build the site brick-by-brick, and with the help of an AI, make everything flow buttery-smooth. Hostinger has marketing features in all plans.

Thus, you can use integrations with WhatsApp, Facebook Pixel, and other platforms to amplify your online presence and communicate with customers. The Business plan also includes an AI writer and blog generator, which speeds up content creation massively.

GoDaddy’s website builder is less impressive but we can’t say we haven’t enjoyed it. However, you’ll need to settle for a “smaller” website and forget about heavy customization and personalization. Another thing to note is that GoDaddy offers fewer features.

Godaddy Website Builder

The starting plan has email marketing, some eCommerce features, and dozens of templates. You definitely get fewer templates than Hostinger and the design portion of the process is, we should say, neglected, so you can’t expect your creativity to shine the brightest.

Who Wins?

Hostinger offers a better website builder than GoDaddy, with over 150 creative templates, more customization options, and robust marketing features and third-party integrations. We recommend its Business plan, which includes a set of AI tools for added customization and ease of use.

Which One Is More Secure, Hostinger or GoDaddy?

In this GoDaddy vs Hostinger comparison for 2026, we stated the former’s lack of features in cheaper plans. The same goes for security – quite baffling.

GoDaddy includes basic security features and that’s… okay. What’s not okay is the need to pay way more to have your website properly secured. Hostinger, on the other hand, gives you almost all of its security features even if you get the least expensive plan.

These features include:

  • Standard or enhanced DDoS protection (plan-dependant)
  • Cloudflare DNS firewall in all plans
  • Malware Scanner in all plans
  • WHOIS privacy protection in all plans
  • Secure access manager
  • WordPress vulnerability scan in all plans
  • SSL certificates

Now, GoDaddy includes some of these too. For example, SSL certificates are in all plans but the cheapest one lasts only for a year. In comparison, Hostinger’s SSL certificates are unlimited and won’t be paid for additionally.

GoDaddy has the advantage of daily backups in most of its plans. Hostinger limits you to weekly updates if you pick a cheaper one. However, Hostinger includes a free CDN or Content Delivery System used to “dampen” DDoS attacks.

On the flip side, GoDaddy claims to have 24/7 DDoS protection but no details are present. WordPress vulnerability scans are extremely important; Hostinger offers this feature in all plans, while GoDaddy, habitually, forces you to shell out more money for that.

Who Wins?

While GoDaddy is by no means insecure, Hostinger wipes the floor with it thanks to more robust security features at a lower price. We can debate other factors all you want, but this win for Hostinger is non-negotiable. Congrats.

Customer Support Comparison

The customer service is one of the most overlooked factors of hosting providers.

Whether you’re opting for VPS hosting, shared, or cloud hosting, issues can arise. Who’s got your back when this happens? Customer support!

So, who is better in this aspect, GoDaddy or Hostinger?

Both are fantastic!

We prefer their 24/7 live chat support options that offer the fastest problem-fixing. Contact them and in a few minutes, the human representative will pick you up. GoDaddy includes phone support, which Hostinger doesn’t but Hostinger’s email support is better.

Both services offer extensive knowledge bases where you can explore and find solutions on your own. The level of support can also be plan-dependent, albeit only in GoDaddy. Higher plans yield premium support but even “basic” support is more than sufficient.

Who Wins?

For the first time in the Hostinger vs GoDaddy analysis, it’s a tie. Both have grandiose benefits and minimal flaws. Our team had pleasant chit-chats with GoDaddy and Hostinger, with no extensive waiting times or complications.

Summary: Hostinger Dominates GoDaddy

The gavel has hit the wooden block and the jury has concluded that Hostinger is a winner.

That jury is our team of vetted web hosting experts. Based on our comprehensive GoDaddy vs Hostinger duel, the latter offers more, while costing less, making it an obvious choice. There’s your “shortened” conclusion.

There’s no bad hosting provider here, just to clarify.

GoDaddy and Hostinger are some of the most popular options. However, Hostinger strikes gold with its performance, ease of use, security, and web-building features. Besides, Hostinger’s price of $2.99/mo gives GoDaddy a serious run for its money.

At $4.99/mo and plenty of features missing, such as a free domain or unlimited free SSL certificate, GoDaddy’s attempt at knocking down the champ is somewhat futile. Hostinger includes all the essentials and MORE while costing a pocket change.

You can’t even get a good coffee at two quids. But you can get the best hosting service.
