This year, I am thankful for Chance the Rapper. Chance, whose 2013 mixtape Acid Rap had some of the best music of last year, hasn’t released a debut LP yet, but his side projects are producing some kickass results.
“Sunday Candy” is from Chance’s upcoming LP
Surf with his four-person band, Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment. It’s an uplifting modern gospel track that sounds like it belongs in a joyful rom-com montage, and I mean that as a compliment. It sounds like being in love.
