Gingerbread Cookies
Ingredients:
2/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
2/3 cup molasses
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves
Recipe:
Beat butter with a mixer until smooth, then mix in the brown sugar and molasses until combined.
Mix in egg and vanilla for two minutes
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves until combined
Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined
Chill dough for three hours
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Roll dough in one-inch pieces until flat and cut into shapes
Bake for 9-10 minutes
