Clint Mansell to score Moon director’s consciousness-swapping terrorism flick The Source Code

Good news, soundtrack aficionados! Pi and Moon composer Clint Mansell will be scoring The Source Code, Duncan Jones’ upcoming flick about a soldier (Jake Gyllenhaal) whose consciousness is transferred into the body of a commuter who’s witnessed a train bombing.

Jones said on his Twitter account today:

Have a bloody fantastic bit of Source Code news. Super star Clint Mansell WILL be scoring the film. You have no idea how relieved I am.

Well, that makes us pleased as punch too, Duncan. Mansell’s instrumentals are totally idiosyncratic and lend an ethereal flair to scifi flicks. The Source Code hits theaters April 15, 2011.
