Toys that use brainwaves to “control” what’s happening? Super lame. Gigantic propane fire launchers that use brainwaves to “control” the explosions? Awesome.
The PK4A project combines an EEG headset, a control unit and a bunch of propane tanks to allow the user to set off huge towers of flame just by thinkin’ real hard. Sure, it’s as imprecise and awkward to use as anything else controlled by an EEG headset, and you could just make the same setup with some buttons and it would be pretty much exactly as entertaining. But come on, they’re bringing the term “pyrokinesis” to life, so they’ve gotta get some credit there. [PK4A via MAKE]
