Anytime you go careening through the airin a giant metal tubefull of strangers and recirculated air, you’re probably not going to have a great time. The airlines make sure of this. So to help ease the pain and/or lack of personal space, this week, Delta will start serving beer that doesn’t taste like poison wrought in hell. Progress!

Depending on your route, you’ll be able to order beer from a relatively solid list of craft brewerings, including Ballast Point Brewing Company, Blue Point Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Newburyport Brewing Company, and Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewery. Plus, every domestic flight will be serving up Samuel Adams.

Is this enough to make flying a pleasant experience that doesn’t forever put out part of the beautiful light inside you? No. Probably not. But hey—it’s a start. [Delta via Eater]
