And this is the “DMC 8280,” a new MP3 player from Digital Minds Corporation that caught my eye. I am too used to seeing features such as OGG playback, USB 2.0, direct MP3 encoding and FM tuner, so that’s not what caught my eye. I guess what did is the fact that this is a 30GB player with a 1.8″ hard drive — for about $299. Moreover, it has some radical dimensions: 4″ x 2.6″ x 0.75″ (H x W x D). I know, I know, not exactly the smallest 30GB player on the block, but still pretty nice considering the price tag.
