When I saw the headline "Snow has fallen? Time to lay asphalt!" in English Russia today I though it some translation problem. But it was literal. It may appear that Russians make new roads on top of snowed roads instead of cleaning them. Just look at the crazy pictures.
This seems so crazy that not even the Russians understand it: "Maybe we do not understand something about technologies of asphalt laying but it seems to be very strange…" Indeed. Anyone has any explanation? Does the asphalt get affected by the snow?

You would think that the "In Soviet Russia..." jokes are all exaggeration, but clearly they are rooted in reality. A completely absurd and surreal reality.
