I’m beginning to think I should invest in a pair of USB wireless headphones, and this setup from E-Kai will hopefully bring new competition to the market. Coming in at only 5,980 yen (like 60 clams), E-Kai’s system is comprised of a base station that connects to your PC via USB which in turn sends signals to the headphones via infrared (therefore avoiding interference from wireless LANs). While this is not exactly revolutionary in of itself, it’s good to see this market is still developing.
