A new Star Wars film is rapidly approaching us—which means that a whole wave of toys and merchandise is approaching us even faster, ready to bring all the characters and moments of Solo: A Star Wars Story into plastic things you can buy. Ahead of New York Toy Fair later this week, we’ve got a special first look at just a few out-of-this-world figures.
io9 is very excited to reveal the first four Solo: A Star Wars Story figures coming to Hasbro’s line of 6-inch Star Wars action figures, the Black Series, this spring ahead of Solo’s May 25 release date. The first set of super-detailed figures inspired by the movie include Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, because you can’t—or shouldn’t make a Solo: A Star Wars Story toyline without Solo:
Then there’s Donald Glover’s scene-stealing Lando Calrissian, who not only looks fancy as hell, but has a raised eyebrow that is delightful:
Next is Emilia Clarke’s mysterious Qi’ra, a person from Han’s past that will play a vital role in the movie:
And lastly, a brand new kind of Stormtrooper makes its debut in the movie and its very first appearance here, in action figure form. Meet the Imperial Range Trooper, who sort of looks like a cross between Rogue One’s Shoretroopers and the Snowtroopers of The Empire Strikes Back:
All four of these figures will be available from retailers and online at HasbroToyShop.com this spring. For more Star Wars toys and the latest from New York Toy Fair 2018, stay tuned to io9 and Gizmodo this weekend.
