Here's Fujifilm's FinePix Z3, a 5-megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom, and it can gather light rather quickly, claiming an ISO sensitivity equivalent of 1600. If you're familiar with these numbers, you know that 1600 means that you'll be able to take pictures at a relatively fast shutter speed in low light without using flash. To satisfy the ladies who don't care much about such things, the camera will be available in pink and powder blue as well as silver.
But the ladies will like the way the Z3 was created specifically for the kinds of pictures they tend to take, namely low-light shots of their pals in close proximity. And, if it's tough to figure out whether to use flash or not, the camera offers a choice with its unusual dual shot mode, taking two pictures when you press the shutter: one with flash and one without. Pricing wasn't announced, but to give you an idea, the Finepix Z2 costs around $230.
