Okay, so we only really have a few actual pictures from the upcoming mega crossover between Supergirl, Arrow, Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow—and everyone looks appropriately stern or heroic for a crossover about an evil alien invasion. But the pictures shot for Entertainment Weekly to go with it? So much joy.
Okay, let’s get the actual crossover looks out of the way first. Inspired by the DC Comics event Invasion!, the four-part event—playing out over a week’s worth of episodes—will bring together the casts of each CW/DC show to combat the sinister Dominion. It looks like some pretty intriguing stuff is going down, considering there’s glimpses of Arrow and Flash seemingly hiding from, of all people, Diggle:
And Sara Lance with her dead sister, Laurel:
If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a glorious shot of the heroes together... including Legend’s Nate Heywood, a.k.a Citizen Steel, who gets the most amazingly goofy superhero costume in the CWverse in time for the crossover, seen for the first time here:
But then, oh dear reader, then. EW did a photoshoot with Melissa Benoist, Stephen Amell, and Grant Gustin in costume, and it is just the most adorable concentration of happiness you’ve ever seen.
Look at them.
I want to pinch all of their cheeks.
I desperately want this to actually be a scene in the crossover.
