This fun little video by UnboxTherapy really shows the changes in physical size that occurred over PlayStation’s 18-year run. Remember how mind-blowingly small the PSone was next to the original? How brickish and brutal the PS2 seemed? How the PS3’s curves messed with our minds? Now that we’re getting our minds and hands wrapped around the rhomboid PS4, the predecessors all look familiar. But somehow, stacking them side-by-side makes us remember how exciting each new design really was.
