OurMine, the hacking group that has previously taken credit for hacking into the social media accounts for Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey, has apparently gained access to BuzzFeed’s systems and published on its website.
On a post (which has since been removed), OurMine appears to have successfully published under BuzzFeed News writer Joseph Bernstein’s byline. It reads:
Hacked by OurMine team, don’t share fake news about us again, we have your database. Next time it will be public. Don’t fuck with OurMine again.
Bernstein wrote an article (down at the time of this posting, a cached version is available) that alleged that a “soccer-obsessed high-school student” was responsible for OurMine. The headline on that post, was “This Saudi Teen Is Probably Behind the Hacks of Dozens of Tech CEOs.”
Other BuzzFeed posts were also altered with “Hacked by OurMine Team” headlines.

This isn’t the first time OurMine has targeted a news outlet. In July, the group successfully accessed TechCrunch’s CMS, changing lead story art on its homepage.
OurMine has also taken credit for several celebrity Twitter attacks this year, including Katy Perry and Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn.
We’ve reached out to BuzzFeed for comment and it pointed us to its Twitter account statement.
