Lest anyone worry that DC would monopolize all “Huh? Really?”s uttered by comic fans today, this pic of Hawkeye on the set of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron reveals his brand-new costume, which is… uh… huh? Really?
It’s not the worst superhero outfit in the world, but it looks pretty much nothing like Hawkeye has ever worn before. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Hawkeye in long sleeves, at least not when he wasn’t impersonating another hero. Also, heroes that tend to do a lot of running/kicking/punching killer robots rarely seem to have loose, frilly clothes (other than capes). Maybe my problem is it just looks a bit formal to me.
No. there’s something else about this outfit that’s bugging me, and I just can’t place it. Hmm…
