Yoshio Takaoka felt bad for being a polluter all his life, so he decided to compensate for it by creating an electric car that charges via a standard, home outlet. This car, named the Girasole, is capable of going up to 41 mph and travel up to 74 miles before needing a re-juice.
During test drives people reported that the Girasole was too quiet. To compensate for this quietness the car plays the sound of horse hooves hitting pavement to warn people standing by that this car is in the area. Seriously, horse hooves? I don’t think you had to do penance that far back, Takaoka. Good job with the home-outlet charging, though.
