HP launched this camera last week while we weren’t looking, and it looks like we didn’t miss much. The Photosmart E317 is HP’s latest attempt at the entry-level digicam market, with 5 megapixels, a 1.5″ LCD, five subject modes, 4x digital zoom, QVGA movies, SD card storage, and… not much else. The really good feature though, is its price: Only $157 at retail. Perfect for the film-to-digital newcomer. Available starting September 1.
