Think you’ve got a good party trick? British designer Seb Lester can draw pixel-perfect logos with a few sweeps of his calligraphy pen. I watched in disbelief as he reproduced some fairly complex type using only his steady hand.
We’ve posted a few of Lester’s pieces before but this new video is like his greatest hits compilation. Prepare to be amazed.

My favorite part is watching him begin to draw a new logo and trying to guess what’s about to emerge. Keep up with Lester on Instagram to catch his newest works.

Very impressive. Hand drawn lettering and calligraphy is a lost art that at one time all commercial artists and illustrators had to master to be successful. Being able to “draw” letters from in serif, sans-serif, script, calligraphic and many other styles was necessary before digital fonts and access to foundry stencils and such. Also, what kind of pen is that?
