Intel have briefly showed off a fanless tablet packing a Haswell processor: that's a lot of power with very little cooling, and it could be a very promising sign indeed.
Weren't ARM chips designed to be low power and fanless, which is also their greatest draw?
I'm not saying ARM is going anywhere, but this could usher a new era of full power mobile computing.
To counter my own point: I'm not Processor specialist, but shouldn't it be possible to use the Haswell technology to create ARM chips? And shouldn't those be even more power-saving?
